Very steep learning curve
The designers forgot who they were making this game for. It takes a long time to figure out how to guide the horse. It takes a long time to figure out what you are supposed to do. My daughter gave up before too long.
The Wii version is an obvious port. It seems they made very little effort to make it work specifically with the wii controls. Very poor effort from a great line of games.

A good game for a young girl or boy
I purchased this game because it was at a great price on a lightning deal. I don't have anyone in home that fits the normal age range for this game, but we have friends with younger kids over quite often to play the Wii.
My daughter who is 14 tried it out this week and although I did see her having some fun in the first hour, eventually she grew bored and I can't imagine her playing it again. (Doesn't every girl want a pony at some point and time?)
In the next week or so we have a friend coming over and her daughter is 7. I expect that she will fall in love with this game, but I'll come back to report after just to confirm my suspicions.

Great Game
I really loved this game. Using the Wii is like riding a real horse. I got this game for my neice but I liked it so much I bought myself one. I like the story of the girl trying to save her uncles ranch by competeing in the compitions. You have to do the traing by finding the trainers (you have to ride around and look for them) then you do the local compitions to get federation points then you go to nationals all while haveing to deal with the bad guys how don't want you to win. Fun game and I enjoy it very much. Monday, October 20th, 2008

Surprisingly Great Game for Low Price
First off, I should have known that this game would be awesome because the develpers are Ubisoft, the same guys who brought us Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Assassin's Creed...
The only complaint I have is the fact that there isn't much customization in the way of the human rider but honestly it is a minor flaw as the customization comes in the way of the horses.
One of the coolest things about this particular game is that you can breed the horses and raise new foals to compete in the local or international championships...
I am absolutely blown away by the way you control the horse. For example there are three different gaits and you determine the gait by how slow or fast you move the Wii controller. *you hold it in your hands and move it the way you would hold the reins as if actually horseback riding*...
I mean there is so much to do *that I haven't mentioned* and I haven't even scratched the surface yet.
Currently I've just bred my first foal, *a pretty black mare Fresian that I've named Raven* about to enter my first local championship and hopefully soon I will get my coveted white horse :-)
They really should have charged more for this great game but if you want a nice horse game with great controls and pretty graphics this is a must buy.

My daughter thinks its cool
This was a gift for my 8 year old daughter. It's not too easy, but not so hard that she gives up. Some parts were a little confusing and it may be difficult for some because there is a lot of reading between scenes and game events. I play with her, and I think that it's pretty good. It's not high end graphics or anything, we liked it anyway. Over all my daughter loves this game and she says,"it's cool!" Great gift for a little horse lover. Monday, April 7th, 2008
