Spalding 72351 Portable Basketball System with 44-Inch Polycarbonate Backboard

I looked forever for a basketball goals for the girls, and there were so many out there and they can be so very expensive. I'm all for quality, and was leery of this one being so inexpensive. It is GREAT! It's great quality, and a very decent size and very easy to use. However, be prepared to spend 2 hours (minimum) putting it together. As most other reviews state, the directions will be no help to you at all. The directions are wrong and the diagrams are also inaccurate. You can still figure it out, but just takes a little longer. But for the price and quality, it's well worth it.

The system arrived with a missing wheel. Spalding did send a replacement wheel one week later. I put the system together by myself in about three hours.The directions were not the best. I was very disappointed with the backboard. The polycarbonate is only an eight of an inch thick.My ten year old son has enjoyed shooting basketball with this system(I guess that is what matters most)but for me as an adult there is not enough stability with this system. I will be surprised if there is any longevity or endurance with this system. Plus the base leaks.

This portable basketball system can be assembled by one person. A little difficult, but it can be accomplished. Some screws and washers were missing and the water float screw cover for the base arrived broken. I filled it with sand and gravel so it doesn't need to be drained before winter. After many hours of assembly, it turned out to be a nice system and is an attractive item.

ASSEMBLY WAS ONLY 1 HR 55 MIN FOR 1 PERSON. BACKBOARD IS FLIMSY BUT DECENT. SLIGHTLY OVERPRICED BUT GETTING A BETTER DEAL ELSEWHERE IS UNLIKELY. OVERALL MEDIOKER. ;)

I bought this item for my Grandsons. Their father was able to assemble with no problems, by himself, in an afternoon. Shipping was very prompt, which was very important for me. The Grandkids enjoy it immensely, and the price was right! I would recommend this unit for anyone. Also, the Spalding name was important as they make a quality product.
