WeeRide Co-Pilot Bike Trailer

Purchased the WeeRide Co-Pilot Bike Trailer for our trip to the beach. What a great purchase! Our 5-year old felt he was in control and had the best time ever. We still use it around the neighborhood as he asks to go for a ride every night.

I bought this trailer about a year ago, and I wish I had bought the Adams Trail-A-Bike instead. The trouble began when we first attached it to my bike and found the hardware was too tight. We had to have our local bike shop actually fix it to install correctly. They suggested sending the entire thing back, but expensive return shipping really made that not an option. They said the factory had over tightened the screws to the point that the pieces which were supposed to swing free to enable you to turn corners did not swing at all.

Now, a year later, I am finding that the height is not sufficient to make riding this thing safe. The photo shows it going very high, but that would only happen if you were seven feet tall. The bar which attaches does not sit high enough off of my tire, so that when I go up a hill the ride along piece hits my tires and makes them freeze up, causing us to come to a complete and sudden stop.

I am shopping around now for a used Adams. Don't buy this one if you are looking for a bargain like I was! I should've spent the extra money in the first place.

We have been very happy with this addition. Our pre-schooler loves the feeling of contributing to pedaling! The only thing to watch out for is balancing while turning, and be sure the little ones wear helmets! It is very fun and great family time!

We bought this tandem bike with free shipping directly from Amazon. It shipped very quickly, was easy to assemble and our 4 and 1/2 year old loves it. she is a little tall for her age, so I am not sure if a shorter 4 year old would do as well. She loves the flag in the back that helps motorists see the bike and she pedals all the time. Definitely worth the money! At first there is a little getting used to having a kid on the back throwing the balance off (my daughter is still in training wheels on her regular bike), but this was never really an issue-- just an observation. I also think that it is helping her learn how to balance on a bike so that she can soon ride her own bike without her training wheels.

This arrived at my house with a big hole in the box and missing the instructions, the pedals and the handlebar hardware. So I went through the effort of returning it to Amazon (since they wouldn't just ship the missing parts to me, no, I had to get an entire replacement. So in the replacement shipment the pedals and instructions were there, but still no hardware to attach the handlebar. So I had to go to my local bike shop and I'm still waiting for them to receive the part, and it's going to be like $50 for this solution. So now summer's almost over and my kid has lost interest (at first he was so excited to ride it and now he just doesn't care). What a piece of garbage!
