WD Sync 320GB Passport External Hard Drive review
The WD Sync 320GB Passport External Hard Drive is a good product and does what it is advertised to do. The only issue I had was during installation and initial use of the product. The install and use instructions that came with the product were very limited. I had to call tech support for help. I was helped, but it took several calls to get up and running. And shortly thereafter, my anti-virus protection software (McAfee) started recognizing the WD Sync startup file as a trojan virus and began deleting it over and over. I think McAfee has corrected this issue. I am using the item successfully now and am happy with the product, but it was not without issues that I had to work through.

Exactly what my son needed
My son needed extra storage for the music he likes to write at college. He loves this drive. It's small and portable so he can bring it home when he comes and has all the storage he needs.

Great product, reasonable price
I use this device in conjunction with Mac OS X's built in back-up program, Time Machine. It has worked great thus far and I love how small and portable it is. Since it gets it's power over USB it is easy to take everywhere with my Mac.

BAD when i got it, GREAT NOW!
i bought this to store all my songs as well as bluray and HD movies. The only BAD thing about this is once you get it, you should format it because you cant store anything at once over 4gb. i dont see the reason why they wont all come formatted. i bought this and thought there was something wrong with it and was about to send it back until i did my research and discovered that it has to be formatted first!! other than that, great product.

6 months of use and goes dead
After using the drive for 6 months, the drive all of a sudden becomes unresposive basically making it dead. It made a whirling noise as if it was powering up and then becomes very silent. Western Digital makes POS UNRELIABLE portable hard drives. The data that I lost was very invaluable! I now have a Seagate portable hard drive. They're a little bit on the expensive side, but at least they have a 5 year warranty and are not made of sh%t like Western Digital!
