Brother HL-2170w 23ppm Laser Printer with Wireless & Wired Network Interfaces

This is an excellent Printer. I have it hooked to my network router by ethernet and it works great. It does draw a lot of amps when it goes to print the first page. I had to unplug it from my UPS.

I consider this printer to be a big bargain. Installation was easy, I just followed the directions. This has eliminated the line to use the printer as my wife can now print from her laptop upstairs and my son can print from the pc in his room while I work on my pc in my home office. I have used Brother printers for ten years and have never been disappointed. Supplies are reasonbly priced and readily available. If you don't need color or sophisticated graphics take a close look at this or other Brother printers.

Was looking for a wireless printer. After reading reviews and checking the price of toner, This is what I was looking for. Had a little trouble getting it connected (my own stupidity), but after finding solution on the net it works fantastic. Used it extensively for Xmas with no problems. Definitely a great value and very good product.

I love this printer. It was very easy to set up as a wired network printer. Plugged it it - the printer assigned itself an IP address and I just ran the setup (after turning off my firewall). Took 5 minutes tops.

The consumables are a bit pricey. The drum is a separate consumable which must be replaced every 12,000 pages. Adding the toner and the drum costs together makes this one of the more expensive laser printers to operate. However, it's reasonable if your printing volume is small.

I have not attempted to use the wireless setup.
